May 15, 2015 — LifeShare Blood Centers in Beaumont, Texas and in Lake Charles, Louisiana will hold their annual Hurricane Preparedness Drives on Thursday, May 28 and Friday, May 29.
All donors giving blood at the Beaumont location will be entered to win a Generac generator donated by Thermacon. The first 25 blood donors at the drive will also receive a free case of water. The center is located at 4305 Laurel St.
Blood donors making donations in Lake Charles will be entered to win a Generac generator donated by Thermacon. Walgreens will also be onsite to provide hurricane preparedness advice and materials. The center is located at 214 Dr. Michael DeBakey Drive.

“Disasters can strike anytime, anywhere. One of the ways we must be prepared is with a safe and adequate blood supply. During this week, we want to help the community prepare by increasing the blood supply and reminding residents of the need for an emergency kit and plan,” says Tina Hooper, spokesperson for LifeShare Blood Centers.
